Early Intervention (EI)
Early Intervention (EI) is a state funded service available to children birth to three years who are at-risk or demonstrate a delay in acquiring speech or language. The primary goal of EI is to support families in promoting their child’s development and to facilitate the child’s involvement in family and community activities. Our therapists are equipped to strengthen children’s developmental skills by encouraging and training families to actively participate and implement strategies simply, in the home environment. |

Feeding Therapy
Feeding disorders include problems gathering food and getting ready to suck, chew, or swallow it. For example, a child who cannot pick up food and get it to her mouth or cannot completely close her lips to keep food from falling out of her mouth may have a feeding disorder. Treatment varies greatly depending on the cause and symptoms of the swallowing problem.

Developmental Therapy
Developmental Therapy (DT) is geared for children from birth-8 years when kids work on the foundational skills of their development. The therapy integrates conceptual, motor, language and emotional skills through a play-based, child-directed approach. Therefore, our developmental therapists look at each child globally and incorporate all the necessary components of development. While some children may see a speech pathologist, an occupational therapist, and/or a social worker to work on specific skills separately, Developmental Therapy works to integrate all those skills through play. Goals are often focused on engagement, improving play skills, socialization and playing with others while accepting new ideas and changes.

Speech & Language Screenings
Speech and language screenings are designed to give parents a comparison between what your child is currently doing and what they should be doing at their current developmental stage. Screenings are not meant to diagnose any kind of speech or language disorder. Recommendations and resources are provided based on results.
