Kathleen is a licensed and ASHA certified speech-language pathologist who provides services to young children and their families throughout the Chicagoland area. Over the past 7 years, she has assessed and treated children primarily in Early Intervention servicing the birth-three year population in their natural, home environment. Throughout her practice Kathleen implements a holistic therapy approach by incorporating naturalistic teaching methods into therapy sessions, which support acquisition, growth and generalization of skills. She has experience treating individuals with difficulties related to deaf and hard-of-hearing, articulation and phonology, language, cognition, motor planning (apraxia) and pediatric feeding. Kathleen is passionate about involving the whole family in treatment and remains dedicated to educating, training and empowering families to use strategies in their home. She has conducted research studies in the area of parent training and has seen first-hand the accomplishments families and their children achieve when parents are actively involved and equipped with the knowledge to encourage their child’s development.

Annmarie Altosino, MHS, CCC-SLP
Speech-Language Pathologist
Annmarie has experience treating young children, adolescents and adults in Chicago and the surrounding suburbs in a variety of settings including therapeutic day school environments, private clinic and home-based intervention. She earned her Master’s of Health Science degree from Governors State University, receiving the recognition as the Most Outstanding Graduate Student in Communication Disorders. Within her practice as a clinician, Annmarie has worked to build communication skills with children with complex diagnoses and developmental disorders, including autism, cognitive disabilities and emotional disturbances. She has experience treating children who utilize augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems along with improving speech, language, stuttering and cognitive challenges. While developing her career, Annmarie’s personal experiences have influenced her treatment approach to incorporate a supreme level of integrity and empathy. Her published research highlights the importance of prevention of speech-language disorders and reflects her appreciation for prevention and her commitment to emphasize this in her practice.
